I just heard from Jill and want to relay the newest information to you. As you know this was the week that H*onda should have come out to do their investigation. They just found out that they will not be there now until Feburary 24th. As you can imagine, they are very upset. This will have been 7 weeks since the fire.
Please pray for peace while they wait!
Also demolition is still going to continue with the garage in the way. Pray that as soon as the cars are gone they will be able to begin new construction and be ready to go.
Not to tell you what to do...but would you please leave a comment just to encourage Jill and Werner.
Thanks,
~Sheryl

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
ReplyDeleteOne night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, “You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”

Yesterday I read this in my Bible,
ReplyDelete"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows."
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
God IS your source of comfort. And though at times things seem impossible He is building you up through these difficulties. You are now and will be in the future a source of inspiration, encouragement, and comfort because of what you have endured.
I love you all!

Dear Jill and Werner,
ReplyDeleteI thought of you this morning as we sang "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow" in worship service. One line is "..and the path that is my portion may be through the flame or flood, but His presence goes before me, and I'm covered in His blood." Than the reassuring chorus reminds us: "Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand." God wants us to keep trusting in Him, His timing, and His resolution. He is holding your hands through the discouragements, frustrations and delays and also as you see the blessings of prayers answered and progress being made through the help
of so many friends, family members and even people who only know you in name.
I love you and thank God for the strength He is giving you!
